rough draft paper 2

Women! They are so complicated. I can never fully figure them out. My explanation of them just comes from what I see. In my opinion they are all the same. Woman bring good times, bad times and the unexplainable times. The times all occur pretty equally too! As many good and bad times a woman can share, she can also come down with just as many bad times. Things can get pretty rough dealing with a female. Then there is the things they do that are so unexplainable and make no sense. I guess there are some things about woman some men will never understand. There are also the little things that girls do that is flat out irritating to any sane man.

To start with the good times, there are many wonderful things that woman bring to the table. The number one thing that i love is that my wife makes sure I’m always fed.  After all, as the saying goes a way to a man’s heart, is through his stomach. I love how she always makes sure my lunch is packed and ready to go every morning.  Even so, nothing can make a man’s hard day of work ease off, than coming home to dinner on the table. The best part of this is on weekends, I get breakfast in bed. Besides she’s the woman it’s just better if she cooks anyway.

I also love how woman are best at cleaning. I’m not really a dirty person, but everything is much more enjoyable when somebody else can do the dirty work. Living in a dirty house just isn’t plaesant at all so I’m glad my wife does all the cleaning. I sure wouldn’t want to do it. Especially the bathroom after she gets done with it. She gets hair everywhere, you’d think she’d be bald. I definetely won’t touch that mess. She seems to have it handled. Then there’s the kids who make their own disasters around the house. I don’t mind helping sometimes, but after a long day of work i just want to relax. I think a woman can handle it anyway. Since I’m the only one that works, it helps keep her busy throught the day. She’s great at her job; a stay-at-home mom.

With her staying home I know the kids are taken care of. Every morning after I’m off to work she gets the kids up and ready for school. That includes breakfast, showers , and making sure they have what they need. It’s the motherly touch that’s in a woman’s nature to take care of the kids anyway. I love getting my space and escaping to work everyday. On those bad days, comes the drama. Any drama a woman unfolds onto a man is the worst.

When females have bad days they tend to just take it out on everybody around them. Regardless if there temper had anything to do with that other person. Every woman I’ve ever known is that way. Then once you push their buttons enough, nothing you do can completly satisfy them again. The only cure for woman’s anger is time and their very unforgiving. Anything you try to do is never good enough. To make up and just say sorry for any wrong thing you’ve done is absolutely impossible! No matter how little the problem. If you buy her a dozen roses, then it’s why didn’t you buy two? Then you can’t just have roses, you have to throw in the dinner too. Sure everything will be fine until something reminds her of what you did. Then your back at point A. I hate how woman are so emotional all the time.

Woman can go from one mood to the next. It’s really hard to keep up with them. Whether it’s gossip or just flat out nagging. They can show all moods just by talking. Although, I can’t decide whats worst listening to. Is it the constant complaining they tend to do without even realizing, or could it be the gossip stories of her friend and other people? I care about my wife’s feelings and how her day went, but I don’t want to hear her nagging over and over about it. Then it’s always over the littles things that shouldn’t even matter to begin with. For example. puuting the toilet seat down. What’s really the big problem anyway? There’s other bathrooms to use if it’s really that big of a deal.

Another thing is I hate hearing females gossip. Every woman does it. More than they should too! They alwaays have something to say about somebody else’s life. No, I don’t care about what happened to your friend last night, nor do I wanna conversate over it. If anything my wife has to babble over that doesn’t have to do with me or anything in my life, than i honestly don’t care. That’s what woman have other female friends for. Then when you don’t show a girl interest or respond back how she expects there’s a problem. For us men, there’s no winning that one.

Then there’s the stuff I just don’t understand in woman. Why do they need phone calls to check in? We are NOT your kids. You can tell a girl what your doing, but yet she still manages to ask every time you talk throughout the day what your doing. Then if I haven’t called you yet then it’s probably because I’m busy doing something else. Woman tend to have a clingyness in them. It drives me crazy. Men need their own space.

Living with my wife, I see her all the time. Though I can never seem to get her to understand that i need MY time. Woman always expect you to spend your free time with them. Well I’m not interested in having romantic dinners and watching movies. I want to work on my car or go out with the boys. Without any females so I can have a stress-free time. I can’t spend every minute with my wife. She really needs to give me my time so I can miss her. Then I wont mind doing that romantic stuff she likes every once in a while. Try explaining that to a lady. They just get all emotional and sad on you. Guess i can never figure that one out.

Woman are so complicated, I will probably never figure them out. So I am content with my explanations for all woman on the things they do.

When talking to people ya gotta know how to speak and the correct tones to use. You can’t just walk up to your boss and be like “Hey, I can’t work tomorrow cuz I got some things I gotta do. Is that coo?” No that won’t work, you need to approach that person properly. Where as if you’re talking to your friend and you’re dissing out on the plans you have made with them than he/she probably will understand and be alright with that sort of tone. They might actually be comfortable with that way than talking very proper and correct and also know that your comfortable and laid back around them. That shows a very important reason to understand the importance in changing language due to the situations.

It is important to understand the correct language in different situatuions for many reasons. For example, talking to your co-workers or even customers you have to be polite. Talking to your co-workers in the same manner as your friends, can give the person in which whom you are speaking to a feeling of low respect towards them. The best way to speak to them would be to use very proper and correct grammer. Also when speaking to customers that you might come across, you should speak the same. By talking to them properly with respect may help build a trust and also respect in return.

paper 2

Wild and out. That’s the best way to explain my life. From partying and living free with no resposibilities. It was nice, I really did enjoy living  day by day not even knowing what I’d be doing next or even where I’d be going. Not really the smartest plan, but it sure was the easiest. My hardest decision would be deciding what I wanted to wear. That was the life….or so I thought. Months would go by and nothing would really change in my worry-free, fun, night life. Until something happened to me that would forever change my life from that point on.

I was pregnant! This news was insane to me! So many different things had ran through my mind. “I’m too young!, I’m not ready!; This can’t seriously be happening!”, but reality struck and it did. So I dealt with it. The partying and carelessness slowly began to fade away. I wasn’t ready to give all this up, but I had to. It all happened qiucker that I had realized too. This was a HUGE surprise to me and my even more my family. It was the last thing to be expected from me especially because of my age. I was 16. Even though I tried to act like I was older, this is something nobody my age is prepared for. Time passed on til the one special day I will always remember.

My son was born. It was such a change in my life. I still went out and partied once in a while, but began realizing that that’s not the way I need to be going anymore. I now need to start worrying about every next step I will be taking. No longer am i just responsible for my own life, I have to look over my son’s. I went from pretty much no responsibilities to having many, many different ones. Goodbye to my nice worry-less days I lived before. Although I was way too young and very unprepared, I felt happier than I have ever been! My son was the gretest thing that has ever happened to me.

I sometimes missed the old times I used to have, but that is a part of my past. I moved on to the next chapter of my life creating new memories. I’m working towards my future with my son. I had set goals which were reached.  All were to better myself and provide a healthy lifestyle for my son. Failure is no longer an option for me. My son is my greatest blessing that I have ever recieved in my life. I;m the woman I am today because of the joyous life my son has brought to me . everything’s a little bit harder, but well worth every step I take and bumps I hit. Without my son I’m more than positive nothing would have changed and I’d still be wandering the wrong path continuing to reach dead ends.

paper 1

Our nation has been through many changes throughout the years, from segregation, , fighting through the civil rights movement with a great leader such as Martin Luther King J.R., to now having an African American president; Barack Obama. Some the the benefits we have today because of this experience is we now treat everybody equally, also how to take great actions with out using violence. Another benefit is knowing that that there is still hope for a better future for ourselves and the next generations as long as we have strong leaders such as Barack Obama and Martin Luther King  J.R.

Looking back from when there was slavery and segregation to the present times, our country has seen many differences and we made it through all the hate and discrimination. In our lives today, we have grown to accept every other person as themselves and for who they are. As MLK once stated “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.” This dream of his is now reality within our country. The greatest example would be shown now by our most recent presidential election. For the first time in all of American history, we now have an African American president, Mr. Barack Obama. This is a great benefit thanks to the black American experience. It proves in yet another way that there is no longer the discrimination we once had.

After Martin Luther King J.R.’s great leadership there have been many protests and organizations of people coming together to stand up for what they believe in, which in many of them have resulted in no violence. As MLK emphasized “Let us seek not to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred” also that “We must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence.” This had helped form protests which eventually became successful. With that strong leadership today coming from Barack Obama, this too can be still be possible. As Barack Obama says in his speech “A More Perfect Union” “I believe deeply that we cannot solve the challenges of our time unless we solve them together.” This sentence can stand for a lot, but can strongly fit for protests. By stating that we can solve our problems together is having people work together and if that does happen, more than likely there won’t be any violence involved.

One other great benefit to our country is knowing that there is still hope for a better future for us now and our next generations. This hope can turn into reality as long as we stay strong as a nation. Obama clearly states “What we have already achieved gives us hope, the audacity to hope, for what we can and must achieve tomorrow.” Basically we can make our society improve s long as our hope stays strong and we all come together to make this possible. A great example of this would be the times of the Civil Rights Movement. If the African Americans would have given up hope for what they believed in then we wouldn’t be where we are today. “We refuse to believe that there are insufficient funds in the great vaults of opportunity of this nation,” was a great line spoken by Martin Luther King which strongly speaks for the hope of our nation.

Therefore, after all these years, through the trials and tribulations  many people have fought through  is what set our nation to where it is today. Our African American history is what helped lead our country to being the great nation it is today.

Our nation has beem through many changes and hard times from segregation to one of the greatest leaders; Martin Luther King J.R., and to now having an African American president; Barack Obama. There has been many different things learned in our nation after going through all these experiences throughout the years. We have benefited from so many things today because of what happened in the past. We have learned to treat everyone equally and to not discriminate just because of one’s color. Martin Luther King J.R.’s leadership has taught us how to take great actions that do and can have a large, positive, and powerful effect without using violence. Another way we have benefited from the black American experience is knowing that there is still hope for a better future for now and the next generation as long as we have strong leaders such as Barack Obama to help light up a path for us.

Loking back from when there was slavery and segregation to the present times, our country has seen many differences and made it through all of the hate and discrimination. In our lives today, we have grown to accept every other person as themselves, not by the color of there skin. People today are treated equally as a whole. Now for the first time in all of America’s history we have an African American president.

After Martin Luther King’s great leadership, there have been many protests and just organizatins of people coming together to stand up for what they believe in, which in many of them have resulted in no violence.

In Bob Dylan’s song “Only a Pawn In There Game: he sings about the white men in power essentially brainwashing the rest of the white men to convincing them that they are better than the blacks. I think a “pawn in there game” means they’re not the highest power but they still have enough. I think he uses this song to sort of defend the people who are doing there job, seeming as if they aren’t in the wrong because he’s brainwashed to play their “game”. This compare’s to ‘Blowin’ In The Wind” because throughout that song Bob Dylan is asks questions basically stating how many bad things can happen before people actually open their own eyes to realize what’s happening between the hat and even killing others just because of their race. The difference between the two songs is that “Only A Pawn In Their Game”  he sings about a specific man and his death as an example, while in “Blowin’ In The Wind he just speaks about the problems in general.

I think “Oxford Town” is just an example of all the hate and racism spreasing everywhere just because of one’s color. He sings of the two men dying, which was led to because their skin  was brown and by saying “somebody better investigate soon” is really getting to the point that this needs to be fixed soon before more deaths occur for the same reasons. Which is the same as “Blowin In The Wind” because he asks “how many deaths will it take til he knows that too many people have died?” Where as the differences is there is an answer, its just “blowin in the wind” while in “Oxford Town” there needs to be some “investigating” on the problems to begin with.

“The Times They Are A Changin” was more of a wake up call to the people who are racist and against the blacks. The underdog in all the lines is referring to the black people and that the whites aren’t going to be getting away with all the hatred for long. the title “The Times Are A Changin” sort of speaks for itself because the times are changing. That’s like “Blowin In The Wind” because the way he asks the questions and refers to them it’s more than less saying that the answer/solutions aren’t that far away. Both these songs are letting people know things won’t be the same for long. They both give specific examples in every line of the points he’s trying to get across. In contrast “Blowin In The Wind” he’s asking the questions to anyone and everyone. In “The Times They Are A Changin” he is specifically talking and pointing out to certain groups of people.

Based off of the comments that I received I do pretty much agree with all of them.  Although, there was still some I don’t quite understand/agree with.  I was a little confused about the comment saying that I sounded like a kid in my writing because I thought the whole point of the assignment was to make it sound like the character you are writing about, which I was a little boy. Therefore I didn’t use other (“big”)words because I don’t really see a 5yr. old talking very advanced, which I guess does make my character a poor choice. I will take the comment for using the thesaurus for my future writing assignments. I do agree that I need to take a little more time when writing, be more descriptive and add more details.

Who are you?

My name is Tommy Johnson, everyone just calls my T.J. I am 5 years old. I love playing with my toys, even though my mommy gets mad when I don’t put any of them away I guess she’ll never understand that I only do that because it’s easier when I’m ready to play with the same toy again later. She’d rather me dig all the way in my toy box over and over. My favorite thing to do is ride my bike over at the park. I like chasing the ducks on my bike.

What do you do?

Well I have a busy life. It’s really rough. I start my day by getting up to get ready and then eat my breakfast. Then my daddy takes me to school. I have lots of friends there. It’s really hard work. My teacher makes us do a lot of school work. The worst part is she gives me homework and my mommy won’t let me go play until it’s all done.

Who, what, when and/or where do you come from?

I came to live with my mommy and daddy 5 years ago. I’m pretty sure a stork dropped me off. I’m not sure where he brought me from because all I can ever remember is my house now with my mommy and daddy. I love living in my big house with my mommy and daddy. Our house is across the street from a park. That’s where I go to ride my bike, play on the swings, and play basketball…not when it’s too dark though.
